Pū Rākau was created to give tamariki a meaningful way to connect with te ao Māori through play, storytelling, and technology.

Instead of the usual ABCs, these blocks carry the strength of our language, the stories of our Atua and the beauty of Māori design. Each set brings together 12 Māori Atua each represented on a beautifully printed and carved wooden block ready to be held, stacked, and explored.

Each Atua is fully animated in AR, has an amazing taonga puoro soundscape and their pūrākau narrated for tamariki to wrap the taringa around. All Atua sets have their individual AR animation but scan selected Atua together to reveal whakapapa connections and deeper pūrākau. Combine Tane and Hine titama to uncover Hine nui te po, See Tūmataunga and Tawhirimatea battle and more.
